back to the pulpit

Here I am, sitting here in a small and cozy room in our house in Baltimore. There are stacks of books, waist high lining the perimeter of the room – books that I unpacked but they never found a home on any bookshelf. I’m finally putting “pen to paper” as C.S. Lewis would say. Although it’s more like I’m staring at the blinking cursor which reminds me of each second passing by…leading up until that moment this Sunday when I will preach at New Covenant (nccchurch.com). In some ways, I’m going to be giving a vision cast for Bridge Connections. New Covenant is a supporting church of BC (both philosophically and financially). As I start reflecting on the past couple of years of BC, I’m drenched with a wave of emotions and memories. So far, I’ve taken 4 trips to Uganda, and BC has engaged about 50 people in what we call “transformational travel.” I’d love to share more with you and introduce you to our Ugandan friends, David and Sarah who lead Father’s Divine Love Orphanage, BC’s current grassroots partner ministry this Sunday if you can make it.
